Shannon Shaffer

Shannon is a board certified PMHNP licensed in Connecticut and California. Shannon has 9 years of experience with varied populations including active-duty military members from her time in the United States Air Force. Shannon is committed to improving mental health utilizing evidence-based practice and holistic approaches. Shannon offers personalized treatment that empowers patients to take an active role in setting and reaching their mental health goals. She places high value on considering the physical, social, and environmental factors that contribute to a patient’s overall well-being.

Shannon obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012 and worked as an inpatient psychiatric nurse for two years while obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Saint Joseph where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Shannon works with adults treating conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, sleep disorders, PTSD, OCD, and ADHD.
